Tallinn Restaurant Guide
Explore Tallinn with food freedom
These are the places I send clients to...and eat at myself. Every one has some great WILDFIT-friendly foods: real, whole foods that taste amazing. Many also work if you are in Spring, whether it be Hunter's, Gatherer's, or regular Spring, so filter to how you're eating right now.
Beyond the list: How to order at ANY restaurant →
Spring, Hunter's Spring and Gatherer's Spring are terms from Eric Edmeades' WILDFIT. Joey Simsen is a certified WILDFIT coach.
What the tags mean
- WILDFIT-friendly
- The baseline for making this list — real, whole food where you can order a clean, grain- and sugar-free plate. Every spot here clears it.
- Spring-friendly
- Here you can build a full Spring plate: plenty of non-starchy vegetables and quality (lean) protein to choose from.
- Hunter's Spring
- An animal-only plate is on the table here: meat, fish, eggs, poultry, and that's it. Steakhouses, grills, and fish.
- Gatherer's Spring
- The vegan route through Spring: a full plate of vegetables, greens, nuts, and seeds with no animal products, kept low on grains and sugars.

Anywhere else
How to order anywhere
- Look at the menu ahead of time so you can prepare.
- Don't read the menu as a list of dishes. Read it as a list of ingredients.
- Lead with the protein and the vegetables. Skip the bread basket, the fries, the rice, the pasta.
- Ask what the dish is cooked in. Butter, olive oil, or ghee is fine. Sunflower, canola, and "vegetable" oil are not.
- Watch the sauces and dressings. Most are thickened with flour or loaded with sugar. Ask, or order it dry with oil and lemon on the side.
- Don't be afraid to be THAT person. That person will be the healthy person in the long run.
