How’s Spring?

When I finished going through the WILDFIT Challenge, I felt elated. I had lost some weight, generally felt and looked better, but most importantly: I had so much energy! Ideas were flowing all the time, and I was doing things left and right, sometimes things I had been putting off for years.

So at the end of the 90 days, I thought “I have to celebrate! Let’s have a pizza, that’s been a long time. And chocolate! Yes, let’s finally have chocolate again. Not the sweet ones like before, but still.” And so I did.

I didn't worry too much about it, because I had my date set for going back into Spring. However, the real problem started when that date rolled around.

“Ahh, you have been so good though. You completed the entire challenge without a problem. You are at your ideal weight, you are healthy. Spring can wait”.

I completely fell for the ruse of my food devil, and put it off a day. And another day. And then a week. And another week.

Eventually, after a couple of months, I did go back into Spring on my own, and have a couple of times more. But by that time especially, I found: It was so much harder.

Back to Spring

I am currently at the end of my first Back to Spring class, a guided re-entry into Spring. For five weeks, I coached both some of my previous clients and myself on how to get back to the level of the original WILDFIT Challenge.

It has been an incredible journey once again, and what really made it stand out from going into Spring alone has been doing this together with others. Just the energy of the group, knowing you are having the experience together, discussing, learning, sharing, it makes all the difference.

I will most likely go back into Spring on my own from time to time, depending on my goals. But more importantly, I will make sure to go Back to Spring multiple times a year with others. Like the old African proverb says,

“if you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together”
